This is my final post in my blogfolio. I can not believe that we are already at the end of the semester and it is time t post my reflection. In this class I have learned more about computers and using technology than I ever thought I would. I figured that this class would just be a review for me on how to use basic things like word, powerpoint, or excel, but I learned so much more than that. First, I learned how to create a blog! I probably would have never done this if it had not been for this class. Now I can see how blogs are useful and extremely easy to use tools to get information out and communicate with people. I will most likely create a blog or a website in order to stay in touch with my students and their parents when I become a teacher. Second, I never in a million year would have thought that I could create and edit a video all on my own. I inserted images, sounds, and effects on that video and I honestly was so proud of myself. I thought that was something that would be extremely difficult and I would have had to have someone extremely talented in computers make videos for me. But now anytime I want to create a video for my classroom, work, or anything else I will be able to do it myself. Third, I learned how to make an audio clip and upload it for people to listen to and use. I think this is an extremely important thing for teachers to know how to do so that they can post lessons or extra help online for students to use, along with videos too. Fourth, I learned how to actually use google group. This tool is so helpful for students now. It allowed all of us to collaborate even when we were not together. We were all able to do our own work, on our own computers and it was great to not have to meet up to use it on the same computer. Google group is definitely a tool that I will use personally, and in my classroom with students. Fifth, I learned how to use many websites in order to create tests, rubrics, or any other documents that teachers may need. I could continue listing things that I learned in this class, but I think I'll just stick to those main points. I learned so many useful things in this class that I will definitely use in the future for myself in I will teach my students in the classroom how to use them as well. This class was a fantastic eyeopening experience and I learned so much through Dr. Wang, Mr. Winstead, and with the help of my group.

This assistive technology case study really opened my eyes to how helpful computers can actually be. I had no idea how many different functions that computers could do to help children in the classroom. For this assignment I made a powerpoint in order to show several different functions computer have to assist kids with disabilities. The second and third slides were to show how the colors of the screen can change by changing the display to a high contrast extra large scheme. This would be to assist a child who is a low vision computer user. The fourth slide was to show the zoom in function on the computer. You can use the magnifying glass to zoom in and make parts of the screen appear bigger. The fifth slide shows how to turn on the narrator that says out loud each button or function the computer is doing, this would be a useful tool for a child that is blind or has a hard time seeing the screen. The sixth slide is showing the keyboard on the screen, this could help a child that has a difficulty typing on the regular keyboard. The last three slides all have pictures of object beginning with the letter G along with the sounds that are associated with them. These slides are examples of what a teacher could use to teach kids who have a heard time hearing or seeing, they could see the picture, hear the sounds, or both in order to learn what is on the slide. The last thing I learned how to do in this project was how to screenshot items on my computer, before this assignment I had no clue how to do that. For the Turn It In Assignment we had to copy and paste answers to the following questions:
